Skill Level: Beginner
Ages: Children age 10 and up are welcome. 

This summer, get your children sewing! Through this camp, we hope to instil the love of sewing and teach them all the basics in fun ways! We will complete 3 projects in 3 days and each project will be covering skills that build upon each other.

By the end of the camp, each student will have made:

  1. Scrunchie 
  2. Journal Pen Holder & Bookmark
  3. Zippered Pouch/ Pencil Case


    • Day 1 : Scrunchie (Burrito method) 
      Explore the Sewing Kit and using the tools
      Pinning techniques , Cutting techniques 
      Ironing - how to and why it’s important
      How to use a sewing machine and fill a bobbin

    • Day 2: Journal Pen Holder & Bookmark
    • Objectives:
      How to tape a sewing pattern, read a pattern and use a pattern
      Cut out and make the project 

    • Day 3: Zippered Pouch/ Pencil Case 


  • Objectives:
    Working with a pattern - how to tape/use/pin/cut and sew
    How to work with zippers


Lesson includes:

Sewing machine use, fabric and supplies. Ironing board, iron and cutting area is provided.
All students receive a 10% store discount to be used on the day of lesson

Things to Bring:
Basic sewing kit
Fabric scissors at least 8"
