Kids Beginner Sewing Workshop (4 Weeks)

This beginner-friendly sewing workshop is designed to gently introduce kids to the world of sewing—no experience needed!

Who It’s For

• Ages: 7-10 recommended. Beginner-friendly (no experience needed)
• Perfect for kids who love crafting, creating, or want to learn a new skill.

Over 4 weeks, students will learn foundational sewing skills while completing fun, practical projects they’ll be proud to take home.

✂️ What We’ll Make

Each week, we’ll build confidence with a new project:

• Week 1: Bookmark 
• Week 2: Stuffed pin cushion
• Week 3: Drawstring bag
• Week 4: Pillowcase

Students will choose their fabrics from a curated selection for each project. Includes all supplies, fabric and guided instruction over all 4 sessions.

What Your Child Will Learn

• How to safely use a sewing machine
• Straight stitching and seam allowance
• Turning and stuffing projects
• Simple finishing techniques
• Confidence and creativity through making

Workshop Details

• Duration: 4 weekly sessions; every Thursday, May 7, 14, 21, 28
• Class Time: 12:30 pm - 2 pm. Please do not come more than 10 minutes earlier as there will be another class in session.
• Location: Boardroom A, Spruce Grove Public Library (Central)

$150 for the full 4-week workshop
(All fabric and materials included. Please bring a working, tuned up sewing machine. Rental is also available)

• • This lesson is non-refundable upon purchase; but you may transfer this to another student.
  • We reserve the right to cancel a class and provide a refund or store credit up to 48 hours of the date; in the event we do not receive enough participants per class.
  • If a class must be missed, materials and guidance will be provided where possible
