From paintbrush to repeating pattern! 🎨

Have you ever wondered how your hand-painted artwork can become a seamless repeating pattern for fabric, stationery, wallpaper and more?

Join me for Paint to Pattern, a 4-week creative workshop where we’ll begin with paint and finish with your very own digital repeating pattern.

This class is designed to be relaxed, creative and beginner-friendly. We’ll spend the first part of the workshop painting florals and exploring techniques for creating artwork that works beautifully in pattern design. Then, I’ll guide you through bringing your artwork into Photoshop and transforming it into a seamless repeat.

What We’ll Cover

🌿 Weeks 1 & 2 — Paint
Explore painting techniques, florals, colour and creating individual motifs that can be used in your pattern.

💻 Weeks 3 & 4 — Pattern
Learn how to digitize your painted artwork, work with your motifs in Adobe Photoshop and create a seamless repeating pattern.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your own finished digital pattern file that you can use for your future creative projects.

🎨 All painting supplies are included.

Students will need to bring:

• A laptop
• Adobe Photoshop (free trial available) 

No previous surface pattern design experience is required. Some basic comfort using a computer is helpful.
